Our Location

We are located in downtown Weslaco in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley of deep, South Texas.

Our Congregation

We are a body of believers who are growing together in our faith and practice of God's Holy Word.

Services of Our Church

Sunday School 10:00 am
Sunday morning service 11:00 am
Sunday evening service 5:00 pm
Wednesday evening service 7:00 pm

Our ladies also meet each Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm for a Bible study in the home of our Pastor’s wife.

Sunday School

We have classes for all ages Sunday mornings at 10:00 am.
Sunday Morning

We have traditional services that are bi-lingual Sunday morning at 11:00 am.
Sunday Evening

We are currently doing a prophecy study with Bro. Earl Barnett in our Sunday evening services at 5:00 pm.
Wednesday Evening

Wednesday evening services are at 7:00 pm. We enjoy singing and then a time in prayer followed by preaching from God's Word.

Meet Our Pastor


Pastor Image

Pastor Jeff Shue was saved at the age of 18. He surrendered to preach at the age of 22. He then went off to Bible College at Tabernacle Baptist Bible College in Greenville, SC and graduated in May 1990. He then went to on to serve as the Assistant Pastor with his father-in-law, Earl Barnett, at Soldotna Baptist Church in Soldotna, Alaska. In April 1996, he and his family began deputation and moved to the Rio Grande Valley full time as missionaries in October 1998.

In April 2014, he and his wife, Bettina, began attending and helping at Canaan Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Luke Gwyn, the founding pastor. In May 2020, when the then current pastor stepped down, Pastor Jeff filled in as our interim pastor until March 2021 when he was voted in as our full-time pastor.
